Your guided cave tour will take you back to a time when the cave was home to ancient humans, sheltering from extreme weather, making fires, shaping tools, and hunting prehistoric Ice Age animals. As you walk easily through the extensive labyrinth of caverns, you will experience a moment of total darkness, and be surrounded by 400 million-year-old rocks and spectacular cave formations.
Kents Cavern is open all year. The cave tour ticket includes the guided tour and access to all facilities on site, including the Ice Age woodland animal trail.
All tours around the caves are guided at specified times.
Please note that we require a minimum of 2 people to operate a tour. If you are visiting on your own select a tour with people already booked or call 01803 215136 and we will confirm if a tour will run when you plan on visiting. This is more important outside school holidays when less people visit.
Select day and tour time. Arrive at least 15 mins before the start time you select. Arriving early is not an issue. Joining your tour part-way through may be possible if you arrive late but is not guaranteed. Any child must be accompanied by an adult. Under 3's are free of charge.
